In the beauty world, the word 'nude' used to be a catchall term for any beige, tan, or sort of brown shade. More often than not, the 'nude' lipsticks in the cosmetics department weren't flattering on women blessed with more than average melanin.
Luckily for us, beauty brands who have decided to join the 2010's are (finally) singing an entirely different tune. Nudes are abundant, and they come in all sorts of warm, golden, and chocolate shades that look gorgeous on women of every hue.
We swatched all the best nudes and found three colors that work perfectly with darker skin tones. For brown girls who considered wearing a pale beige lipstick color when your nude wasn't enough, this one is for you.
